10 Illinois PGA Professionals to Compete at Senior PGA Professional Championship

The 32nd Senior PGA Professional Championship takes place October 15-18 at the PGA Golf Club

GLENVIEW, Ill. – October 14, 2019 – Ten Illinois PGA Professionals will represent the Section at the 32nd Senior PGA Professional Championship this week, Oct. 15-18 at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Illinois PGA Professionals qualified for this event in August at the Senior Illinois PGA Professional Championship at the Merit Club in Libertyville, Ill. All active PGA Professionals ages 50 years or older were eligible to qualify for this event. 

The 264 PGA Professionals in this event are competing for the Leo Fraser Trophy as well as a spot in the Senior PGA Championship on the Wanamaker and Ryder Courses at the PGA Golf Club. This week’s top 35 finishers will qualify for the 2021 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, to be played May 25-30 at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

  • Fourth career appearance at the Senior PGA Professional Championship. Has finished inside the top 20 in each appearance, including a T4 finish in 2017.
