Four Illinois PGA Professionals to Compete at Assistant PGA Professional Championship

GLENVIEW, Ill. – November 13, 2019 – Four Assistant PGA Professionals will represent the Illinois PGA Section at the 43rd National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship at the PGA Golf Club’s Wanamaker Course in Port St. Lucie, Florida on November 14-17. The Illinois Assistant PGA Professionals qualified for this event in July at the Illinois Assistant PGA Professional Championship at Eglin Country Club in Elgin, Ill.

Kevin Flack (Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club), Sean Gervais (Chicago Golf Club), Jeff Kellen (Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club) and Adam Steinhofer (Ridgemoor Country Club) will represent the Illinois PGA Section at this event.

The 132 PGA Assistant Professionals competing in this event will play in a four-day, 72-hole stroke play tournament on the PGA Golf Club’s Wanamaker Course. PGA Members with an A-8 classification or registered Associates were eligible to qualify for this event through their local Section. The winner of the 43rd National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship will receive an automatic berth into the 2020 PGA Professional Championship. The top-four finishers, including ties, will earn exemptions into the 2020 National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship.
