Four Illinois PGA Professionals Elected to Section Board of Directors

GLENVIEW, Ill. – January 19, 2022 – During the Illinois PGA’s Fall Meeting of the Membership on Monday, November 8, 2021, four (4) Illinois PGA Professionals were elected by their peers to join the Illinois PGA Board of Directors. Vince Juarez, PGA (KemperSports Management), Andrew Stevens, PGA (Golf Direct Now), TJ Sullivan, PGA (GOLFTEC) and Daniel Watters, PGA (Bob O’Link) will serve terms on the Illinois PGA Board of Directors.
 
Stevens and Sullivan were newly elected to the Board and will each be serving their first three-year term (ending in the Fall of 2024). Watters was re-elected to serve his second term and will serve a two-year term (ending in the Fall of 2023), which is satisfying the remainder of the term vacated by Michael Strain. Juarez, who had been appointed by Section President Nick Papadakes, PGA, to complete the first year of Strain’s term through the fall of 2021, was re-elected to a new three-year term as well.     
 
Juarez is a Regional Operations Executive at KemperSports Management. He has held this position since September of 2019. Elected to PGA Membership in April 2000, Juarez was appointed to the Illinois PGA Board of Directors in 2021 and served as the Illinois PGA Professional Development Committee chair, a committee he was previously a member of. Juarez earned his PGA Master Professional status in 2020 and is also PGA certified in General Management, Golf Operations, Teaching and Coaching and Player Development. He will continue to sere as chair of the Professional Development Committee.
 
Stevens is the VP of Operations at Golf Direct Now. Elected to PGA Membership in June of 2010, he is currently on the Illinois PGA Foundation Board of Directors. Over the past three years, he has served on the Illinois PGA Opens Committee as a committee member. He will serve as co-chair of the Partnership Committee.  
 
Sullivan is currently the PGA Director of Instruction at GOLFTEC – Oak Brook, a position he has held since February of 2017. Elected to PGA Membership in January of 2008, Sullivan has served as a committee member of the Teaching and Coaching Committee and the Player Development Committee. In 2020, Sullivan earned his PGA Master Professional status, and he is also PGA certified in Teaching and Coaching. He will serve as the Teaching and Coaching Committee co-chair.
 
Watters has been the Head PGA Professional at Bob O’Link Golf Club since November of 2015. He was elected to PGA Membership in 2007. This will be Watters’ second term on the Board of Directors. He served as the Partnership Chair during his last term from 2018-2021., and during this term will serve as co-chair to both the Partnership and Employment Committees.
