NADLER GOLF CARS EXTENDS SPONSORSHIP DEAL WITH ILLINOIS PGA

Aug 23, 2018

The Nadler family name and Illinois PGA Section go hand-in-hand when talking about long-standing marketing sponsorships as the two have been together for decades. And that partnership will continue as the Illinois PGA announced Nadler Golf has extended its sponsorship of the Illinois PGA Championship and the Pro-President Championship for two more years into 2018 and 2019.

“Nadler Golf Cars and the Nadler family mean so much to the Illinois PGA Section,” said Carrie Williams, Executive Director of the Illinois PGA. “The fact that we’ve continued to work together to support Illinois PGA professional golf over decades and that they’ve personally invested in the game says so much about the deep company and family commitment the Nadlers have to our members and the game. We’re obviously pleased and honored to continue the sponsorship with such a wonderful family and company.”

The two organizations have been working together so long that you must go back three generations to when family patriarch, Bill Nadler, first founded the company more than 50 years ago get to the start of the relationship. It wasn’t too long after Bill and his wife, Bea, began leasing and maintaining golf cars that Nadler Golf sponsored the Pro-President Championship and was supporting the local PGA professional golf scene. It’s been a 40-plus year relationship.

“My grandfather had a vision with the golf car business and our entire family has been involved all along the way. From my father, uncle, aunt and now cousin, Matt Baumgartner, who owns the company with me,” said Eric Nadler, President of Nadler Golf Cars. “And we’re excited to continue the sponsorship with the Illinois PGA Section and its members.”

What began as a Harley-Davidson motorcycle shop in Elgin in the early 1960s has now grown into a leading golf car business with more than 6,000 golf cars on lease to clubs and facilities throughout the Midwest and that includes maintenance as well. Now, The Aurora-based company services nearly half of the roughly 400 courses in the Chicagoland area.

Eric’s father, Dave Nadler, not only continued the sponsorship his father started, he also served on the Illinois PGA Foundation board and was instrumental in several campaigns to support youth golf organizations and other important community service work that helped others. In fact, he was among the initial donors to such activities.

“Their financial support of the Section and its professionals has been, and continues to be, integral to elevate our major events and the unique evolution of our relationship across multiple generations of the Nadler family set Nadler Golf apart as both the longest-standing partner and the most generous,” said Williams.

While Bill has passed away and his sons Dave and Keith have retired, you can still be sure there will be a Nadler standing on the first tee at next week’s Section Championship to greet the PGA Professionals whom they both support and work with daily.
