Dukelow, Henry Tied for First After Round One of the Illinois Senior Open

ST. CHARLES, Ill. – September 16, 2019 – Rich Dukelow (Medinah CC) and Mike Henry of Bloomington, Ill are tied for first place after Round one of the 2019 Illinois Senior Open. Dukelow and Henry both shot 3-under-par 68s in the first Round.   

Dukelow started his first Round with a bogey-free front nine and one birdie to make the turn at 1-under-par 34. He continued his bogey-free Round on the back nine, carding two pars on Nos. 10-11 and three straight birdies on holes 12-14. Dukelow’s only bogey of the Round came on the par-4 16th hole. He parred the remaining two holes to finish Round one at 3-under-par 68.

Henry also recorded a bogey free front nine and added two birdies on holes six and seven to make the turn at 2-under-par 33. Henry dropped a shot on the 10th but got it right back with a birdie on the 11th hole. Following a bogey on the 12th hole, Henry made four pars and birdies on Nos. 16-17 to close out his Round at 3-under-par 68.

Four players are in a tie for third entering the final Round. Britt Pavelonis, Jerry Vidovic, Brian Groszek and E.A. Tischler all shot 2-under-par 69.
David Paeglow, Gary March and Victor Tyson carded even-par 71s and are currently T7 after Round one.

The final Round of the 2019 Illinois Senior Open Championship will be played tomorrow at Royal Fox Country Club. Tee times will begin at 8:00 a.m.
