GLENVIEW, Ill. – October 2, 2019 – Eight PGA Professionals will represent the Illinois PGA Section at the 2019 Senior PGA Professional Championship this week, Oct. 3-6 at the Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas. Illinois PGA Professionals qualified for this event in August at the Senior Illinois PGA Professional Championship at the Merit Club in Libertyville, Ill. All active PGA Professionals ages 50 years or older are eligible to qualify for this event.
The 264 PGA Professionals in this event are competing for the Leo Fraser Trophy as well as a spot in the Senior PGA Championship. This week’s top 35 finishers will qualify for the 2020 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, to be played in May at Harbor Shores Golf Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
