Oct 13, 2020

LONG GROVE, Ill. – October 13, 2020 – Kevin Healy (Black Sheep Golf Club) won the Illinois PGA Senior Players Championship at Twin Orchard Country Club on Tuesday, October 13. Healy built on his 18-hole lead in round two en route to a 1-under-par 143, going wire-to-wire to capture his first Illinois PGA victory of the season.

Healy started the day with a one stroke lead over the field after carding a 1-over-par 73 in round one. On a day where conditions made scoring difficult, Healy battled the cool temperatures and high winds in the second round to card a 2-under-par 70. He carded four birdies, including two-in-a-row on holes 17 and 18 to close out his final round to finish the tournament at 1-under-par 143 and the only player under par.

Rich Dukelow (Medinah Country Club) finished in solo second place with a tournament total 2-over-par 146. He was paired with Healy in the final round and started the day just one stroke back. Dukelow carded three birdies in the final round including a bogey-free back nine, but a bogey on the par-4 second hole and double bogey on the par-5 eighth left him three strokes behind Healy.

Roy Biancalana (Blackberry Oaks Golf Club) finished in solo third place with a two-day total of 3-over-par 147. Biancalana, along with Healy, carded the only other round under par on day two. Following a round one score of 5-over-par 77, Biancalana carded a 2-under-par 70 in the final round with four birdies and an eagle.
