Nine Illinois PGA Professionals to Compete at the Senior PGA Professional Championship

The 35th Senior PGA Professional Championship takes place October 26-29 in Port St. Lucie, Florida

GOLF, Ill. – October 20, 2023 – Nine Illinois PGA Professionals will represent the Section at the 35th Senior PGA Professional Championship next week, Oct. 26-29 at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The Championship will be contested on the Wanamaker and Ryder Courses. Illinois PGA Professionals qualified for this event in August at the Nadler Golf Cars Senior Illinois PGA Professional Championship at Merit Club in Libertyville, Ill. All active PGA Professionals ages 50 years or older were eligible to qualify for this event.

The 264 PGA Professionals in this event are competing for the Leo Fraser trophy. The top 35 finishers at this event will qualify for the 2024 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, to be played May 23-26 at Harbor Shores Golf Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
