MUNDELEIN, Ill. – August 24, 2021 – The second round of the Illinois PGA Professional Championship was suspended due to darkness. Inclement weather forced the tournament to delay for two hours. Players went back out onto the course at 6:25 p.m. and played as many holes as they could before darkness suspended play.
Garrett Chaussard (Skokie Country Club) is currently leading the Illinois PGA Professional Championship at 3-under-par 141. Tim Streng (Wildcat Golf Academy) and Andy Mickelson (Mistwood Golf Club) are tied for second place at 2-under-par 142.
The second round will resume tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. 11 groups still need to finish the second round. The final round will begin tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. Players will tee off on holes one and ten in the final round.
