77th Illinois Open Championship Leaderboard
NORTH BARRINGTON, Ill. – August 11, 2026 – The second round of the 77th Illinois Open was suspended due to darkness Tuesday evening following a weather delay earlier in the day that impacted play for more than three hours.
Round two was delayed for a total of 3 hours, 15 minutes before the morning wave resumed play at 1:10 p.m. All players in the morning wave were able to complete their second rounds.
The afternoon wave, originally scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. off the first and 10th tees, did not begin play until 3:45 p.m. Players remained on the course until play was officially suspended at 7:45 p.m. due to darkness.
At the time play was suspended, Charlie Nikitas (Glenview, Ill.) held the lead at 16-under-par. He is currently 7-under-par through 15 holes for his round, making eight birdies and one bogey. He holds a four-stroke lead over the field at the time of the suspension.
The second round will resume Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Players will return to their positions on the course to complete round two.
Following the completion of the second round, the field will be cut to the low 50 players and ties. The third round will begin shortly after the completion of the second round.
Updated scoring, the 36-hole cut, and third-round pairings will be available following the completion of the second round.
